The Bear Golf Course designed by Jack Nicklas is a majestic course and every golfer’s dream. It was ranked the 18th toughest golf course in America by Golf Digest. It stands out as a top golf course in Michigan and offers a beautiful experience for golfers.
The course basically gets its name as a tribute to its designer. Jack Nicklas had trademark blonde hair and he was referred to as the Golden Bear. He made his name as both a great golf player and a golf course designer and that is how the course got its name. Nicklas is the only player in the history of golf who has won each of the game’s majors at least three times, and he is also the only player to have completed the Grand Slam on both regular and senior tours.

Lakes of the North Golf Course
Built in 1968 and expanded further in the late 1980’s, the Lakes of the North Golf Course makes visitors immediately adore it's perfectly manicured greens, schematically designed hazards, and the beautiful rolling terrain. It offers a scenic 18-hole, par 72 course spanning over an area of 7,000 yards.
A-Ga-Ming Golf Resort
When you are staying at the Torch Lake Bed and Breakfast, the closest place to satiate your love for golf is the A ga Ming Golf Resort. It is really close to us and has some spectacular views of Torch Lake. A-Ga-Ming means “on the shore”, and it represents many things to the Native Americans. It is a 72-hole course lying alongside Lake Michigan and Torch Lake.
